10 Years is Enough!
3rd term weakens our democracy
Think it would strengthen it
Urban voters say it undermines principles
The Gambia cannot afford to repeat the mistakes of the past. After two terms and a decade in power, Adama Barrow is seeking a third term. We say NO. Join the non-partisan, civil and pressure group movement to protect our democracy from self-perpetuation.
Our Stand Against Self-Perpetuation
The No To Third Term (N3T) movement is a non-partisan, civil and pressure group movement born from a simple realization: history repeats itself if we let it. Jawara ruled for 30 years, and Jammeh for 22. Both eras ended with our nation stagnant and held back.
In December 2026, President Adama Barrow intends to seek a third term. While technically legal under the current constitution, we believe 10 years is more than enough time for any one individual to lead. We will make contacts with similar groups like Apex, a group working to unite the opposition parties to form a coalition, to unify the national voice and ensure a democratic transition in 2026.
Our movement is not about parties; it is about the system. We demand a nation where leadership is a temporary service, not a permanent ownership of state institutions.
"One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by those who are unfit to lead."— Plato
The 2026 Mandate
We are working to ensure that December 2026 marks the end of self-perpetuation and the beginning of a truly accountable Gambian democracy through opposition unity.
6 Reasons Barrow Must Go in 2026
Why we cannot afford another term of mismanagement.
10 Years is Enough
Jawara and Jammeh ruled for decades and this long term stay in power took us backwards because there was rampant corruption in both governments. We must not repeat the same mistake. No third term for any president.

Failed System Change & No Legacy
The government has failed to deliver a new constitution, security sector reform, or civil service reform. Police brutality continues unchecked while the administration aligns with defenders of the previous regime. Infrastructure projects cannot substitute for a lasting democratic legacy.
Sheer Incompetence
Barrow is surrounded by manipulative individuals serving their own interests. His leadership has failed the Gambian people.
Security & Sovereignty
Foreign forces continue to play a major role in national security after nearly a decade. True sovereign independence demands trusting our own institutions.

No Accountability & Repercussion
The tragic AKI kidney medicine issue claimed the lives of over 60 children, yet no significant accountability or repercussions for those involved have been seen. We cannot tolerate a system that shields negligence.

Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about the N3T movement and our mission.
What is N3T?
N3T (No To Third Term) is a non-partisan, civil and pressure group movement of patriotic Gambians dedicated to protecting our democracy by ensuring term limits are respected.
Is N3T a political party?
No. We are a non-partisan, civil and pressure group movement. We do not represent any political party. However, we will making contacts with similar groups like Apex, which works to unite opposition parties to form a coalition.
Why is a third term bad for Gambia?
Self-perpetuation often leads to stagnation, lack of accountability, and the erosion of democratic institutions. Fresh leadership is vital for national growth.
Does the constitution allow for Barrow to run in 2026?
Yes. The current constitution does not have term limits. However, we believe 10 years is enough. Historical precedents show that extending leadership beyond a decade often leads to democratic erosion, complacency, and entrenched interests. Ten years is ample time for any impactful leader to deliver their core vision for the country.
